  This was our first time in a Jazz club in the city.
  A great experience from start to finish. We watched the Eric Schneider quartet play with a surprise added performance from Ty Perry who works as a server in the club- and man did his rendition of 'just the thought of you' totally amaze us.
  
  Pros:
  Intimate setting, no more than 140 people even in full capacity.
  Decent acoustics so you don't blow you ear drums off even if you are sitting right in front.
  16 different bands perform here every week so there's that!
  The food and drinks are limited but delicious.
  
  Cons:
  Service could improve
  It's quite pricey and there's is a cover charge.
  
  That's pretty much it, not too bad for a first time experience, I would definitely go back.

  if you are after a great Jazz or Blues venue, then by all means Andy's is where you want to be.
  
  If you are looking for arguments over bar tabs, then you will also be well served.
  
  I was handed a tab that did not reflect my actual order and when it came to disputing it, it was my word against theirs....over 14$
  
  To set the record straight, I actually picked up Chris Foreman's tab as a gesture of appreciation of his talented music. If your so called manager think I was trying to cheap out your establishment over 14$, you are sadly mistaken.

  I love jazz clubs.  There's a certain sophistication, a hip night on the town, that goes along with a dark, used to be smokey, jazz club.  The music is cool.  The patrons diverse and often progressively aware.  They get it.  
  
  These clubs are having a hard time staying open and making money in this country.  Young people are not into jazz, and I dare say, the homogeny of the technology culture doesn't accept nor understand the free form of jazz. The consistency and simplicity of "indie," a misnomer label for the banality of this music, captures the millennial fancy.  I have personally seen jazz clubs close in Milwaukee, Cincinnati, Washington, D.C., and Salt Lake City, where it never had a chance.
  
  Andy's is a wonderful throwback to a time of cool; an era of Miles, Jackson Pollack, Jack Kerouac, Lenny Bruce, and Mies.  If you know these names, you get it.  For a ten dollar cover, you get a comfortable seat, friendly smiles, and get to listen to superb music.  I didn't eat at Andy's, but the food looked good enough.  If I lived in Chicago, I would be at Andy's a few times a week. I don't go out in Salt Lake City.  An Andy's Jazz Club isn't even in the imagination of 99% of the people living in Utah.  I was at Andy's for an hour, taking in smiles, compliments on my hat, glasses, and style.  I didn't see one Salt Lake scowl or plastic smile.  Andy's is Chicago.  I love being here.

  Nice after work set with comfortable and laid back vibe setting. I was out walking out to lunch and spotted this place. I made a mental note to come back and check this place out.  I definitely recommend this place to jazz lovers.   A $10.00 cover charge that goes towards the band.  Well worth it.  I like coming to places where the crowd is mature. Andy's is a place where you can enjoy some good jazz. I was surprised how my food was really good.  I ordered the chicken tacos and let me tell you delicious. The Sex On The Beach Drink was a little strong. I wish they served more variety of fruity drinks.  The ambience and service was great.  I have to come back and try the brunch.

  In town to see Hamilton and wanted to find a cool place to hang out afterwards, made reservations here for 1030 based on recommendations, which turned out to be great advice. The place was packed, but thanks to our reservations we still had a table and were seated right away. The atmosphere is everything you want in a jazz club, laid back, smooth, great live jazz. We decided to order food and drinks. I chose the Cajun shrimp risotto which was just ok, not bad but definitely not anything special. My friend felt the same about her food as well. Pricey and not quite worth it. I'd say go here after dinner for the jazz and drinks and skip the menu.
